We are excited to be kicking off our clothing drive to benefit a local nonprofit, Note in the Pocket. They are in existence to clothe children with dignity and love, and do this by providing donated and purchased clothing to impoverished and homeless children and their families in Wake County. Part of our Weston Banks vision is to be Together for Significance. One of the ways we try to give back is by partnering with other organizations to offer our time, talents, and resources. From now until the end of August, we will be a drop off location for donating clothes for Note in the Pocket.
- High quality used or new clothing and shoes
- New socks and underwear
- All sizes: Toddlers to Adults
While they are primarily focused on equipping children to attend school, they often assist with clothing entire families. They believe it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school – and so do we.
As you go through your summer clean outs and prepare for your own children to go back to school in the fall, please consider bringing in a bag of high quality items to donate. We are in the office Monday – Thursday from 8:30-5:00, and on Fridays from 8:30-4:00.
Finally, on September 14th, the Weston Banks team is going to spend the morning at their volunteer center to help sort clothes. We have some open spots for you to come join us that morning. Let us know if you are interested. Will you consider joining us in this mission?
